We're movin' on up!
Posted by: Mike

For the few of you that actually know about sourcegate and use it, I am letting you know that the site will be moving and improving!

As this site was my first foray into blogging, I decided to kill two birds with one stone - learn a little about blogging, and try to collect the myriad of tech tools I have into one place.  I did that, but I was never really ready to officially "launch" it, so it remained a backburner project.

Along the way I launched a blog for a client using ExpressionEngine, and I really liked the tool, so much that I setup and launched a blog for myself, The Hot Iron, on the platform.  I have decided to move sourcegate to EE, and will do so over the coming weeks.  It will be down at this address soon.

I have temporarily moved the site to my business Web site, and you will be able to access it here for a short time:

I will not be posting anything else until sourcegate is up on EE and I migrate the content over to the new platform.  As I write this, I noticed the RSS feeds are not working there, and I probably won't fix that... they will work on the new site, and will be using FeedBurner as does The Hot Iron.

Here's to bigger and better things!

Here's a basic domain name appraisal service.  Where it only takes a few factors into consideration, compared to paid services, it is a decent quick estimator for a domain name.
